Alpine Overland visited the Hotel Baren in Holzgau in Winter 2007. The village is idyllic with painted houses, shops, a church and many walking paths. Situated in the Lechtal area and close to Bregenzerwald, Holzgau will be the perfect base for walking of all standards. The nearby Tannheimatal, Widderstein, Karrhorn and Biberkopf areas will be readily available for the groups, some of which are free of charge to visitors to the region.
